Posting an Announcement

How to make an announcement directly from the feed, including the ability to launch observations directly from the feed

Introduction

Announcements are a key way to put news out to both parents and carers as well as your staff. Whether it be daily updates or annual newsletters, announcements provide a great tool to push news out to users in a clear and accessible manner.

Creating an Annoucement

Step 1 – Navigate to the Feed
Step 2 – Select ‘**Write a post to your feed…**’

Step 3 – Select the ‘+’ to select recipients or manually start typing the name.

You can add either Teams (Contacts + Key Persons) or Staff

Step 4 – Select your recipients from both the Teams AND/OR Staff tab

The child card will show the number of recipients that will receive the announcement if that child’s team is selected. This includes Parents & Cares along with Key Persons assigned to a child

Step 5 – Add a description for your announcement

Step 6 – Choose to Add media, Add a document or upgrade Announcement to an Observation

Step 7 – When happy to send, select Post

Step 8 – View the Announcement on the Feed
