‘Tis the season for giving so this month we’re giving you TWO free printables.
Our winter scavenger hunt is the perfect resource to get out in nature with your little ones. It will cover lots of areas of learning and development:
- Communication and language – model new language while you are observing “oh look there’s frost on the spiders web so we can see it more easily”
- Math – noticing the amount of items is the environment is a really good way to initiate subitising – ” oh look, I notice 2 squirrels over there”
- Understanding the world – talk about the scavenger sheet and explain that these things relate to winter and why
- Physical development – provide your little ones with pens and encourage mark making as you tick things off, maybe the can have a go at copying some letters down
